The ZAOU Statutes provide the Constitutional framework that allows the University to govern its affairs. The Statutes contain the fundamental constitutional and governance provisions of the University. They are regulations of the Board of Directors for the guidance of the staff of the University. In 2015, the Vice Chancellor reconstituted a Committee to consider the ZAOU Statutes, including various administrative regulations, which had been adopted from time to time, as a whole, and to present a revised code. This compilation was approved by the Board of directors as the ZAOU Statutes.
