JOB OPPORTUNITY: PART –TIME STUDENT RECRUITERS

INSTITUTIONAL PROFILE

The Zambian Open University (ZAOU) is a leading private university offering its programs through distance learning, full – time and part – time learning. It is an internationally recognized University, which is registered with the Higher Education Authority (HEA), and is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of African Universities (AAU), and African Council for Distance Education (ACDE), Southern African Regional Universities Association (SARUA) and the Distance Education Association of Southern Africa (DEASA).

ZAOU is looking for self-motivated, suitably qualified individuals to fill the positions of:

PART –TIME STUDENT RECRUITERS

Purpose: The Part – time Student Recruiters shall be responsible for publicizing the University’s programmes and recruiting new students.

Key responsibilities: Reporting to the Registrar and Regional Managers, the main responsibilities are:

(a) Providing general information on the programmes and activities of ZAOU
(b) Liaising with the Registrar and the nearest Regional Managers / Coordinator on all matters relating to the recruitment of students.
(c) Distributing information materials related to programmes offered by the University
(d) Advising students on procedures for making payments for application forms and tuition
(e) Issuing application forms and keeping accurate records of the same
(f) Keeping records of application forms issued to, and received from prospective students.
(g) Submitting completed application forms for all qualified candidates to the nearest Regional Manager’s/ Coordinator’s Office or Registrar’s Office
(h) Submitting monthly reports on all the work done.

Qualifications

(a) Grade 12/ school Certificate
(b) A bachelor’s degree from a University recognized by the Zambia Qualifications Authority
(ZAQA) will be an added advantage
(c) Former students of ZAOU are especially encouraged to apply.
