Ms. Monde Matakala Mulunga wins ACU 2016/2017 Grant to conduct Gender Mainstreaming Workshops.

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) has awarded a 1000 GBP competitive grant to Ms. Monde Mulunga, Lecturer in the Department of Development Studies, School of Humanities and Social Sciences ZAOU, for her to organize training workshops in gender mainstreaming.  As part of ongoing commitment, the ACU offers up to 1000 GBP grants to help member institutions meet the costs of organising workshops which advance gender equity.  She will conduct three workshops. The first one for key officers including Vice Chancellors, Deputy Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments from ZAOU and twenty four (24) affiliated High Education Institutes (HEI).

The other two workshops will be for lecturers and administrative staff, respectively, both from ZAOU and its affiliated institutions. The objectives of these workshops are to sensitize and share information with key officers so that they will render support to gender mainstreaming in their institutions, and to engage lecturers and administrative staff on how they can impart knowledge to their colleagues and spearhead gender mainstreaming in their various institutions. The seminars will take place from 7th to 10th March, 2017.
