This is to inform all students of the Zambian Open University (ZAOU) that the information, which some of you may have received from a Mr J Kapepala or any other source (other than the Registrar’s Office), by phone and/or through social media, regarding scholarships offered at the Zambian Open University, is FALSE. It is a SCAM, which must be ignored.
Mr Kapepala is NOT, and has never been, an employee of the Zambian Open University NOR its agent. He is not known to us and we therefor take it that he is just a fraudster.
ZAOU has clearly defined channels of communication and staff assigned to communicate with students. The University would not ask for money from students to qualify for any scholarship. The University has names of all its registered students and would, therefore, not ask any of its students to submit their names for any aspect of its operations, let alone scholarships.
Beware of FRAUD and report any suspicious requests or messages to the nearest police station or nearest ZAOU office. For any query please phone or WhatsApp the following numbers.
